FLIGHT & BAGGAGE INFORMATION

GENERAL FLIGHT INFORMATION

  • Passengers are encouraged to arrive at the airport two hour prior to the scheduled departure time, even if the flight is delayed.

  • Contour ticket counter closes 30-minutes prior to scheduled departure, no exceptions.

  • TSA Checkpoint closes once all checked-in passengers have passed through security checkpoint.

  • Times are approximate and are subject to delay or cancellation.

CARRY-ON BAGGAGE GUIDELINES

Passengers are allowed one carry-on item, and one personal item, provided they can fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you, unless you booked a Basic Economy fare on an American Airlines flight.

Personal items may include:

  • Purses
  • Laptop computers/tablets
  • Medically Necessary Items
  • Portable DVD Players
  • Other items that fit under the seat in front of you.

Due to size limitations on the ERJ flights to and from Paducah, some items may be too large to fit in either location even if they fit the size requirements set by Contour.

Carry-on bags falling into this category will be tagged and stowed with checked luggage. These items will be placed on a cart by the aircraft and will be brought to you at the jet bridge when you arrive in Charlotte.

To help passengers determine if their bags will fit carry-on criteria we have a template for passengers to make sure bags will fit at the ticket counter that is identical to the one in the photo at left.

NOTE: If you book a Basic Economy fare on an American Airlines flight you will not be allowed a carry-on bag and have to check any luggage outside of a personal item.

CHECKED BAGGAGE GUIDELINES

The rules for checked baggage are relatively simple. In general, Contour will accept up to two pieces of checked baggage with a maximum weight of 50 pounds (23 kg) per bag and a maximum outside dimension of 62 inches (158 cm) per bag. Your first checked bag on Contour flights is free, while a second bag and bags weighing over 50 lbs. will incur a fee of $25.

Outside dimension of a bag is equal to the width + height + depth of the bag added together. Additional checked bags or any bags that exceed these allowable weights and dimensions are subject to applicable checked baggage service charges. If your baggage needs require you to check additional baggage, or baggage that is over the listed size and weight.

Contour recommends that you carry valuable items such as electronic equipment, cameras, film, cash, jewelry, medication, prescriptions and keys with you on board the aircraft.

NOTE: Contour requires the following additional restrictions above and beyond our partners’ programs due to equipment size or other operational constraints. Contour cannot accept kayaks, or extra-large or giant pet kennels.

Also, any items classified as pressurized gases/liquids, oil-based paint, explosives, poisons, magnetic materials, flammable items, corrosive, etc. are not accepted. For more information CLICK HERE.
