REHABILITATE RUNWAY 5-23  – PHASE 3

NOTICE TO BIDDERS/INVITATION FOR BIDS

 

Sealed bids will be received no later than 4:00 p.m. (local time), on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024, and then publicly opened and read aloud in the Airport Administration Offices Conference Room within the Airport Terminal Building, Barkley Regional Airport, 100 Terminal Drive, West Paducah, KY 42086 for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment, and performing all work for the Rehabilitate Runway 5-23 – Phase 3 project located at the Barkley Regional Airport.

FOR BID DOCUMENTS. Copies of the Contract Documents, including Project Drawings and Technical Specifications, are on file and may be inspected at the Airport Administration Offices within the Airport Terminal Building, Barkley Regional Airport, 100 Terminal Drive, West Paducah, KY 42086. An electronic version of the bid documents shall be obtained via an email request to the office of the Project Engineer: Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc., Attn: Jake Marshall (jmarshall@cmtengr.com).

To receive Addendums, Notices, etc., Prospective Bidders shall submit the required information to be included on the official project plan holder list maintained by the Project Engineer. Contract and technical questions shall be directed to Jake Marshall of Crawford, Murphy and Tilly, Inc. (jmarshall@cmtengr.com).

PRE-BID MEETING. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting for this project will be held at 1:30 p.m. (local time), on Monday, June 24th, 2024, in the Airport Administration Offices Conference Room within the Airport Terminal Building, Barkley Regional Airport, 100 Terminal Drive, West Paducah, KY 42086.

CONTRACT WORK ITEMS. The project generally consists of the construction of grading and drainage improvements associated with the safety areas for Primary Runway 5-23. More specifically, this project includes installation of a new system of storm sewers and drainage structures, as well as associated grading improvements, to provide positive drainage of the runway safety area and contiguous infield areas. This project also includes the removal of portions of the existing drainage structures and storm sewers that will be replaced by the new system, as well as installation and maintenance of project erosion control and grassing/restoration measures. The work to be done under this contract includes the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment, tools, and all associated work necessary for the successful completion of the project. The approximate quantities are included in the Schedule of Prices.

The Barkley Regional Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the proposals received or to accept any proposal which is deemed most favorable to the Airport Authority at the time and under the conditions stipulated in the Contract Documents to the extent permitted by law.
